Antique Meditating Burmese Shan Buddha, Burma Beautifully carved out of one piece of wood, this Buddha, in the Dhyana Mudra or meditating position, originates from the Shan states of Burma. The Buddha still has remnants of the yellow stain that originally covered him. The Buddha dates to the end of the 19th, or very early 20th century and is in good condition with only the expected loss from age (there is a "bite" out of the left corner base, and a couple of age fissures); his unisa is in tact! This is a wonderful and expressive Shan Buddha! Measurement: 8 " high (20.3 cm)  SOLD
