Antique Laotian Teak Buddha
Beautiful gilding still covers this 19th century carved wooden Buddha from Laos. The Buddha was carved from one piece of wood, covered in black lacquer and applied gilt. The Buddha is finely carved with careful attention to the face and hair, and there is decorative incising on the base. This small Buddha is in fine condition with the beautiful long Laotian ears still in tact.
