Vintage Burmese Wood Temple Garuda
Most probably at one time adorning part of a Buddhist Temple, this carved wood Garuda shows remnants of the original paint and lacquer that once adorned it, as well as the pieces of mercury glass that is typical of the Mandalay style. The carving is in good condition, with some wear to the edges, otherwise a graceful reminder of the mingling of mythology and spirituality.
