Vintage Sacred Heart Milagro, Ex Voto

This is a beautiful old South American sterling silver milagro, or ex voto from the early part of the 20th century. The ex voto was left in a church in Peru by a pilgram or devotee giving thanks for his or her wish fulfilled. This milagro, formed from one sheet of silver, is in the shape of the sacred heart and decorated with traditional Spanish colonial foliate designs in repoussé. There is also a beautiful shell design at the top of the heart. It is a beautiful old milagro in fine condition.
