19th c. San Vicente Ferrer Archangel

This beautiful 19th c. oil on canvas depicts the rare image of San Vicente Ferrer Archangel. Winged San Vicente is shown wearing his traditional Dominican garments and pointing skyward towards God. There is an old repair to the painting (see the details below) to the left of San Vicente's face, otherwise the painting is in good condition with only mild surface soil (readily cleaned if the owner wished), expected crackling and minimal loss of paint. The painting is in a vintage wood frame. This is a beautiful painting from Latin America that is a wonderful representation of colonial artistic expression in the "new world".
