19th c. Icon on Wood This beautiful 19th c. oil on heavy wood panel was found in South America and depicts three Saints and the image of Christ in Heaven. The icon, with the cyrillic writing, was either brought by immigrants to South America or painted for the Russian community. The painting is beautifully executed with typical 18th/19th c. style and perspective, and the gold gilt is exquisite. This rare icon is in excellent condition.
