This is a fantastic silk sarong from the border of Thailand and Laos. The colors are rich and the heavy silk is finely woven with traditional ikat designs and borders. The silk was sewn into a tube for wearing but the textile could be opened to be twice the size pictured for hanging. The textile is about 40 years old and has a bit of wear to the edges and a couple of minor surface stains, reallly only wear consistent with a textile of this age. The fabric would look wonderful on a textile hanger, or could be worn as is!
