Antique Hindu Hanuman Amulet
Hanuman, the Hindu God of strength and purity, is represented on this 19th century Indian amulet box. The box, which is sealed shut, would traditionally hold some amulet to protect it's wearer. Strung with this antique pendant, is a wonderful melange of serpentine beads from Afghanistan, aventurine from China, carnelian from India, and antique Indian silver beads.
