Antique Terracotta Laotian Buddhist Temple Tile

This is a rare roof tile from an 18th c. Buddhist temple in southern Laos. Formed from terracotta, this image represents the Tree of Life, an important symbol throughout Asia. The tile, excavated in 2003 from the temple site, has a beautiful quality and patina from natural wear. The tile has been mounted on a metal museum base presenting it as a beautiful sculpture. An excellent addition to any collection of Buddhist art.

Measurements:  10 " (25.4 cm) high including base, Tile is approx 6 1/2" (16.5 cm)
