19th c. Burmese Terracotta Buddha

This Arakan terracotta Buddha dates from the 19th century or earlier. Beautifully stylized in the decorative Arakan manner, the figure, although showing some surface erosion from time, is a fine representation of this style of Burmese Buddhist art. The Buddha is mounted on a black wood base.

Measurements: 4 1/2" (11.4 cm) with stand, Figure is 3 1/4" high (8.3)
