18/19th Century Bronze Laotian Buddha Fragment - Laos This is a beautiful fragment of the base and foot of a bronze seated or meditating Buddha from Laos. The bronze has a wonderful surface and shows a beautiful oxidation with cuprite patina, and remnants of the original black casting core are still apparent in the interior. The fragment has been mounted on a black wood presentation base. The bronze Buddha is a wonderful piece of sculpture as well as a beautiful Buddhist artifact.
