Old Indian Wood Nandi Bull

India's temples are adorned with carvings of deities and life symbols and most frequently with carved god's and sacred animals. Every god has an associated vehicle, and Nandi, the bull, is the vehicle of Siva, or Shiva. This Nandi, from the state of Rajasthan, has been carved from one piece of wood . The Nandi is in good condition with traces of blue paint on the base and showing a beautiful patina. This wonderful Nandi reflects the rich spiritual life of the Indian sub continent.

Measurements: 7 1/4" high x 6" long (18.4 cm x 15 cm)
