Antique Spanish Colonial Silver Madonna Santo Aureola Crown

This is a wonderful early 19th c. high content silver aureola crown for a large carved church Santo or Virgen Madonna from South America. The large crown was formed using the repoussé method with beautiful images of angels and traditional foliate designs surrounding the perimeter. There is some minor loss to the silver from the years, but absolutely does not detract from it's beauty. It would look wonderful on a Madonna, Santo, or displayed for the beautiful treasure it is. This fine corona is a wonderful reminder of the exquisite silver work of colonial South America
