Antique Spanish Colonial Silver and Gold Santo Madonna Crown

This is a wonderful corona for a Santo or Madonna from South America. The crown was formed from high content silver with a gold wash overlay, now worn away in parts. The delicate flowers, some with hearts in the interior are connected to the base on a wire woven through handmade attachments, typical of 19th century crowns. The crown is in good condition and is a reminder of the exquisite metal work of Colonial South America - a wonderful treasure!
