Spanish Colonial Style Silver Baptism Cup - Chrismatory

This is a beautiful and faithful reproduction of an 18th century Spanish Colonial silver baptismal chrismatory from South America. The chrismatory, designed as a shell, has been formed from high content .925 silver using fine repoussé, and is used to pour the holy water over a child during baptism. The silver chrismatory has been perched on a brass and acrylic tripod stand for presentation. This is a beautiful devotional item from Spanish colonial South America.
