Antique Spanish Colonial Silver Church Santo Madonna Crown

This is a rare and wonderful 19th century Spanish colonial silver resplendor for a large carved Madonna or Virgin Santo from South America. The large corona is formed from high content silver with beautiful and detailed deep repousse using traditional Spanish colonial designs. There are 4 hallmarks on one side indicting the importance of this crown, which at one time graced a Madonna in a church in Potosí, Bolivia. The Crown is in fine condition with only some small bends in the silver from time and is a reminder of the exquisite silverwork of colonial South America - a rare treasure.
